Programmes (During November 2008 to November 2009)

The inaugural function: 28th November, 2008 at N.I.T., Kurukshetra along with First Rashtreeya Yuva Vaigyanik Sammelan. Here young scientists will get an opportunity to present papers in Hindi also.

National Launching of Outreach Programmes on 1st December 2008 by Prof. Franscesco Paresce Marconi (Grandson of Dr. G. Marconi) at St. Xavier's College, Kolkata.

Publication on life and works of Acharya Bose in all regional languages and booklet with pictures: About 1 lakh books in eleven major Indian languages will be distributed among students.

Mobile exhibition: A special vehicle decorated with exhibition materials on JC Bose's contributions and Indian achievements on science and technology will cover educational institutions and R&D centres of India through out the year.

Power Point presentation in schools/colleges on the life and works of  Acharya Bose: About 1 lakh CDs on this subject will be made in different languages and will be distributed to schools for demonstration.

Essay/ Elocution competition among students on relevant subjects in regional languages: The competition will be held in state level and national level and awards will be given by eminent scientists.

Display of Life and works of Acharya Bose in posters and the model of some of his instruments in all the major cities of India: Science Fair will also be organised along with this display.

Documentary film on the Life and works of Acharya Bose: Film will be telecast through channels and cable networks and also through other media to enlighten the general public and students.

An animated Film on JC Bose for students/children: Animated Film will attract kids and students and create curiosity in science.

Publication of picture post card on Acharya Bose: About 10 lakh picture postcards / pocket calendars will be distributed to public.

Regional level workshops on India's contribution in science from ancient period to modern age.

Innovative science modeling exhibitions by students: In exhibitions, students will be motivated to practical skill in modeling.

Release of postage stamp with special cover by Department of Post, GOI, will be arranged.

Organizing Science Congress in Bengali and other regional languages

Publication of a souvenir: A souvenir containing articles by eminent scientists and 150th anniversary celebration report and photos will be published.
